Loco 7's Slots

If there was an award for an off the wall art style and a nice set of simple gameplay mechanics coming together, then Loco 7’s Slots would clearly win it. It’s a very simple, to the point game that put everything into the art style of it, and ends up being far more charming than you would expect for that reason. There’s a lot to like here if you’re willing to accept that what you see is what you get, and aren’t looking for something that will blow you away with widespread innovation or anything of that kind.

We had a decent time, and think the graphics and theme of the game itself will be enough to keep most people interested for a long time to come. For everyone else, however, you’re likely better off trying to find a game that has a little more meat to the gameplay, as that’s not what this game is all about.

Things We Love

The style points here are off the charts. The somewhat South American and Western themed game has enough heart to it that it looks like it could make for a good premise no matter where you find it. It looks fun, which goes a long way towards making it feel fun, which we wish more developers would take to heart when making and coming up with these games.

Things We Hate

Unfortunately, the gameplay isn’t anywhere near as spicy as the rest of the game. It’s the standard 3 reel setup without much going on and not anything of note that you will remember after playing it. The graphics and premise do all the heavy lifting here, which depending on how big of an experience you’re looking for, may or may not be enough to hold your attention for very long.

Our Verdict

Loco 7’s Slots is one of the cutest Mexican themed slots we’ve seen in a while. It’s simple, fast, and to the point, making it easy to jump into and recommend trying. We can’t promise you’ll be doing much more than sampling the game, however, as there isn’t much to it, and there are so many games out there that try a little harder when it comes to both the gameplay and overarching winning mechanics. It’s a shame, as this could have been an otherwise wonderful start to a game!
